More Merida Progress

This is becoming much more involved than I had intended it to be… but only because I’m so pleased with it.

So the other day I realized I had a great blue/green scarf that would look really nice as part of the sash. I hate to sacrifice it to the costume gods (I bought it on our 2012 Disney trip… so it would give my merida costume a hidden Mickey 🙂 ) but I don’t think I’ll find anything else I like as much. I’m hoping to find our leather scraps tonight and see what I can do about a belt.

Tomorrow going back to Hancock to get trims.

Anyway back to last night. I got the piece of chiffon I’d cut for the neckline put together, hemmed and ready for pleating – I just quickly pinned it on and I’m really happy with how it looks. Tonight I’m going to get Chase to help me install the eyelets so I can get the neckline finished off. I also added what was left of my trim around the sleeve puffs. I have enough of the smaller trim to do a couple more of these, but I’m not sure if I want to or not.
